01Core opportunity

The National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Commerce issued a policy discussion on "Some Special Measures for Shenzhen to Relax Market Access":

On January 26, 2022, the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Commerce issued the document Opinions on Several Special Measures to Relax Market Access in Shenzhen's Construction of an Advanced Demonstration Zone of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics (FGTGG [2022] No. 135). The first item of the document proposes to support Shenzhen to establish an international trading centre for electronic components and integrated circuits with the market-oriented operation.

President Zou said that this was the first time that China proposed to build a new platform for electronic components, integrated circuit enterprises and product market access, and for the first time, it explicitly included distributors in the semiconductor industry chain in the national policy document for encouragement and guidance, which is of great significance to the development of the entire industry chain of electronic components.

How does the association respond quickly to the policy? Where are the industry opportunities and challenges? How can members of the Association seize this opportunity? How to forge ahead together to promote mutual benefit? I hope to have in-depth exchanges and discussions with the guests present.

Based on the advantages of Shenzhen, the Association plans to initiate the establishment of a chip trading platform, build an information interaction platform for various electronic component manufacturers to gather and participate, empower the industry and members, and devote itself to serving upstream and downstream enterprises of the chip industry chain, to promote the standardized, healthy and sustainable development of the chip industry.

How to build this platform, how to attract members of the Association and relevant enterprises to settle in, and how to establish a set of trading rules that not only meet the policy requirements, and domestic needs, but also adapt to international rules and standards, to ensure the transaction of electronic components are the focus of this meeting.
